'Hall of Mirrors' decor

This hotel ballroom has a very commonplace corridor leading to it, so the bride wanted us to decorate it in keeping with her royal wedding theme.

The bride wanted to feel as if she was walking through a royal palace so I created a decor inspired by the Palace of Versaille's famous Hall of Mirrors.

Building the floors.  This would allow me to fix the walls to the floor, and would create a hard surface for my 'parquet' effect print.

Installing the walls and mirrors.

Inspired by the decoration of some of the chinoiseries at the Petit Trianon, I drew these details to create canvas wall panels.

Wall detail.  Here you can see my printed panels used to fill the gaps between the wooden mirror structures.

The finished corridor - fit for a queen!
